41st Trofeo delle Industrie to feature record roster of 150 drivers, 26 countries – KZ2 set fot stellar line-up.
The event, promoted by Parma Karting, will be held on october the 20th and 21st at “South Garda Karting” in Lonato.
Parma (ITA) October 11, 2012 – The Trofeo delle Industrie has just turned 41 as it continues to be the most historic kart racing event of Italy. The birthday party will be celebrated in just about two weeks, when the engines will be back roaring at the “South Garda Karting” circuit in Lonato (Brescia). The venue will host the trophy for the first time in history, more than four decades after the Parma Karting – promoted maiden run in 1971.
The 2012 edition, scheduled to run between the 19th and the 21st of October, will be highly – nternational and also a pretty crowded one in terms of the roster. A stunning 150 drivers are expected on – track to represent 4 Continents and 26 Countries.
In terms of numbers, Russia leads with 9 drivers, followed by Switzerland (6), Austria and Denmark (5), while the KZ2 class is set to be the most challenging one with 54 name on its line-up.
In addition to simple numbers, the quality is set to be exceptional too. Fresh KF3 World Champion Luca Corberi (Tonykart-Vortex) will be competing in KF2, while Canadian Ferrari Driver Academy racer Lance Stroll, who also scored the runner-?up position at Trofeo Andrea Margutti this season, will line-up together with WSK Master Series winner Callum Ilott of Great Britain on Zanardi-Parilla machinery in KF3. Russian Nikita Sitnikov will also be a popular name for Team Komarov after winning the 2012 WSK Final Cup and the CIK Viking Trophy.
Italian CSAI Champion Alessio Lorandi (Baby Race)will be someone to keep an eye on, as well as for 2009 Trofeo delle Industrie champion Yuri Lucati (KKart Racing), joining the KZ2 field. Last but not least by any means, the entry-list features the reigning WSK Euro Series Champion, Lithuanian Simas Juordvirsis (Energy-TM). The 60 class is set to welcome Italian CSAI Champion Leonardo Lorandi (Baby-Race) and the 2012 Margutti Champion, American Logan Sargeant (Ward Racing).
